Our clinical director and founder Shikha Rishi is an independent prescribing pharmacist. Aswell as Elegant Beauty Clinic she owns and manages the multi-award winning AR Pharmacy in Totton and Holdenhurst Pharmacy in Bournemouth.
Shikha has a real passion for her services and has been a spokesperson and key industry speaker at various national and international events. Shikha is a key opinion leader and great believer in safe, professional and ethical aesthetic practices.
Shikha’s journey into aesthetics began in 2015, when she had been working in community pharmacy for more than 6 years and was looking for something more fulfilling. Shikha always had an interested in make-up and beauty, experimenting with looks for herself and others, but found herself drawn to the world of aesthetics, where she could find longer-term solutions for people to look their best. As Shikha still loved the consultation element of pharmacy, and enjoyed the patient interaction that comes with medication reviews, she knew she could offer this same personalised treatment for aesthetics. One of Shikha’s main reasons for offering aesthetic treatments is helping boost patients’ confidence whether that’s due to aesthetic and slimming treatments and skin and hair rejuvenation services.
During her training experience, Shikha also spent time working in an A&E department where she learnt invaluable skills regarding complications and infections. It also gave Shikha the opportunity to practice a different set of consultation skills, which has helped her immensely when it comes to understanding what end result my patients would like to see from a treatment. Shikha is a conscientious practitioner, who wants to understand your aims and expectations so together you can both come to a joint treatment plan. This is proven to give a much more natural and longer-lasting result than a “one size fits all” approach to Botox and fillers. Shikha only uses the most advanced techniques and products in her consultations.
Charity is very close my heart and I spend a lot of time working with the FUCcharity and brand, which supports the Wessex Cancer Trust. I want everyone to feel their best, so I take referrals from those affected by chemotherapy or radiotherapy and provide treatment at a largely discounted rate. I hope that this small thing could give them the confidence to carry on the fight and make them feel a bit more like themselves again.
